Runoff Election Canvassing at the Polls

When we canvass...

We canvas on key elections that encourage people to see the value of instant runoff voting. The upcoming Runoff is a perfect example of high impact canvassing efforts.

Polls open at 7am and close at 7pm. You are welcome to come and go at the times that work best for you.

Best practices: Go for a 2 hour block. Consider peak voting times such as when the polls open, around lunch, after school pick up, and before the polls close.

Why we canvass...

We need people, money, and endorsements in order to succeed. If you want to see things change, you need to get involved.  We can’t do it alone –we need to make it as easy as possible, for as many people as possible, to also get involved...

  1. Canvassing works. Finding people who care is essential to building our movement.
  2. Canvassing is a way to ensure that we have a diverse movement.
  3. Person to person connection is the single most effective way to communicate and advocate.
  4. Canvassing is the best way to mobilize a population and to win endorsements of influential political representatives.
  5. Canvassing is FUN!
